Despite little formal training I do my best to support musicians in our joint quest to spread a little joy in the world. The generosity of luthiers and experts and also good fortune has taught me more every day as I stumble along this rocky path. I began making instruments in the early 1980’s but after a Canada Council project in 1994 I became completely devoted to restoration. In recent years working on fine ancient instruments has challenged me to get back to making and to use all these lessons learned and gifts received.
