Montreal viloin maker trained at the Chicago School of Violin Making.
This violin was an exercise in frugal wood use. The back, ribs and neck all came out of the same wedge of wood. A slightly oversized one piece back stock. This gives the instrument an unparalleled aesthetic unity, and along with that, the physical characteristics of this particular piece of maple (and the equally superb spruce top), makes for an instrument that is very responsive to tonal adjustment. Smooth, bright, and rugged. You can play this violin with an aggressive fervor, or a dainty delight!
